Laggere resident alleges CCTV cameras installed under Nirbhaya funds missing

BENGALURU: The installation of CCTV cameras under the Nirbhaya Fund was aimed at enhancing women’s safety across the country, including Bengaluru. However, allegations have surfaced that cameras worth Rs 2.75 crore have gone missing in Laggere area.

Murali Mohan, a local resident, has filed a complaint with the police, alleging that the CCTV cameras installed under the Nirbhaya Fund are missing. The complaint has been lodged with the ACP and DCP, seeking an investigation into the matter.

The police have initiated an investigation to determine whether the cameras were never installed or were removed later. The outcome of the investigation is awaited to shed light on the alleged scam.
