BENGALURU: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has lodged a complaint with the Yeshwantpur police station against social media accounts allegedly spreading rumours about the leak of PUC question papers, just two days before the exams.
Board chairman Prakash Nittali told Public TV that such incidents happen every year and that the police have assured action. He urged students not to panic, saying it’s a hoax and the papers won’t be leaked.

“Students should not get anxious, this is all false and baseless news. Students should write their exams peacefully. We have taken measures to prevent question paper leaks. No one should pay heed to such rumours,” he appealed.
The complaint targets an Instagram account, ‘Dr. Kannadiga’, which posted about selling question papers, saying “If you need any question papers, message us. We’ll tell you the amount later”.
The police are investigating, and authorities are taking precautions to prevent any malpractice. The exams start on February 28, and the KSEAB has met with DG&IGP, seeking cooperation to ensure the exams are conducted fairly.
The authorities have requested the police to keep an eye on social media, ensure question paper security, and take action against suspects. Students are advised to ignore the rumours and focus on their exams.
