CHIKKABALLAPUR: Four youths died on the spot in a collision between a tipper lorry and a motorcycle near Ajjavar Gate in Chikkaballapur taluk on Thursday night. The deceased are Narasimha Murthy (22), Nandish (19), Arun (18), and Manoj (23) from Ajjavar village.

Narasimha Murthy had got married six months ago, and his wife is pregnant. Narasimha Murthy and Nandish were brothers. The accident might have occurred due to the tipper lorry’s high beam lights.
Chikkaballapur MLA Pradeep Eshwar visited the victims’ village, condoled with the families, and provided personal financial assistance for the funeral.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah tweeted condolences and announced Rs 5 lakh compensation for each family. The MLA had assured the families that he will facilitate compensation from the CM’s relief fund.
