Two boys die after drowning in canal

BELAGAVI: Two boys drowned in a canal and died while swimming at Chunchanur village in Ramdurg taluk. The deceased were identified as Basavaraj Somanavar (10) and Hanumant Haged.

The two boys had gone for a swim in the canal and were swept away by strong water currents. Local authorities and police conducted a search and retrieved the bodies. A case has been registered at Katakol police station.
