BIDAR: Over 40 doctors who have been working on a contract basis at the Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BRIMS) Hospital for 7-8 years have been abruptly terminated from their services.
The doctors have not been paid their salaries for the past nine months, and the sudden termination has left them in a state of distress. They had worked tirelessly during the Covid-19 pandemic, risking their lives to save patients.
Despite their dedication, the hospital administration has terminated their services without notice. Some of the doctors have already received their termination letters, while others are yet to receive theirs.
The terminated doctors have expressed their anger and frustration against the hospital administration and the government, alleging that they have been treated unfairly. “We have not been paid our salaries for the past 9 months, and now we have been terminated without any notice or explanation,” one of the doctors told Public TV.
