BELAGAVI: In yet another glaring lapse on the part of the administration of the Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS), the family members of an aged woman were forced to carry her inside the hospital as no wheelchair or stretcher was made available.
In a video doing the rounds on social media, a middle-aged couple can be seen carrying the aged woman by cupping their arms. Shockingly, none of the staff could be seen coming to their aid as they make their way through the hallway.
The aged woman was brought to BIMS for treatment, but none of the staff came to the aid of the family. They then decided to carry her themselves to the ward. The BIMS hospital is routinely involved in controversies over the negligent attitude of its staff.
