Skeleton found near Kudlu Road, suspected to be of missing man

BENGALURU: The skeleton of a man, who was missing since December 2 last year, was found behind bushes next to a compound was on vacant land beind a plant nursery, opposite Cambridge International School on Silver County Road at Haralur in Bellandur. At the outset, it seemed that the individual had been bludgeoned with a stone.

The skeleton is belived to be that of Amit Kumar and his father-in-law Kamalesh, who runs a plant nursery, had lodged a missing person’s complaint with the Bellandur police on December 6. Amit worked at the nursery and lived with his wife Manisha in a shed next to the nursery.

Shockingly, the skeleton, believed to be that of Amit, was found just 30 metres from the nursery, raising questions about the police investigation into the missing person case. The skeleton was found on March 4 when family members of Amit were searching for him.

The relatives informed the Bellandur police, who have now sent samples for DNA test to establish the identity of the deceased. In the interim, Amit’s wife delivered a child about two weeks ago. The police are investigating the case from all angles.
