GADAG: A 24-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging at her residence over alleged love failure at Kanaginahal village on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Parvathy Bavi, who worked as a railway keeper.
Parvathy was in love with a man who belonged to another caste. It is said that they both had a fight and, upset over this, she committed suicide. Before committing suicide, she had written a death note, the contents of which the police have not disclosed.
A case has been registered at the Gadag Rural police station. The police have visited the spot and further investigation is under way.
