Five from Bengaluru booked for assaulting on-duty policemen in Mysuru

The occupants of the MPV attacked the traffic policemen for asking them to move their vehicle.

MYSURU: A group of five visitors from Bengaluru, who had come to the city to witness the Dasara celebrations, assaulted two traffic policemen on duty for asking them to move their vehicle, on Friday night.

The group including Umesh, Harish, Dhruva, Latha and Ganavi, all from Bengaluru, had come to the city to witness the Dasara celebrations. When they were at Hardinge Circle, two policemen, Raju Y and Arun Kaushik, asked them to move their vehicle as it would cause a traffic jam.

Angered by this, the group assaulted the two policemen. A case has been registered against all the five at the Devaraja police station.
