BBMP officials shut down 12 business establishments including pubs, bars, restaurants

BENGALURU: Following the LPG cylinder blast at Mudpipe Cafe and pub in Koramangala, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials raided pubs, bars and restaurants in all the eight zones and locked 12 pubs and bars for violating rules.

The inspection was led by health officers. The officials have issued notices to some pubs, bars and restaurants where deficiencies have been found, and those who do not comply with licensing regulations will be shut down on the spot.

A total of 1,118 licences have been issued under the Corporation limits, out of which 232 have been inspected on Friday. Notices have been issued to 86 business establishments and 12 have been closed.

The Officials raided pubs, bars, and restaurants in the South, West, East, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Dasarahalli, Yelahanka, Mahadevapura and Bommanahalli zones.
