BENGALURU: A 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped at a private school near Varthur on Thursday. The police on Friday arrested the school founder-principal after medical tests confirmed the assault.
On Thursday, the girl, said to be dyslexic, had gone to school as usual. There, she was allegedly taken to a vacant room where she was raped. On returning home, the girl was suffering in pain and the assault came to light after the mother took her to a hospital.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Whitefield division) Girish S said a medical examination had established the sexual assault and the accused was arrested and subjected to medical tests. A case has been booked under the POCSO Act and further investigation is under way, he added.
