CHIKKAMAGALUR: A 10-wheeler loaded lorry rolled into a 100-foot gorge near Kanive Cross on the outskirts of Chikkamagaluru city on Monday morning after the driver lost control. Fortunately, the driver and cleaner escaped without life-threatening injuries
The lorry broke the roadside guardrail, hit a tree and plunged down after the brakes failed. The incident occurred on the National Highway connecting Kadur and Mangaluru.
The lorry was heading from Chikkamagaluru towards Kadur and was completely damaged due to the impact of falling into the gorge. The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Chikkamagaluru Rural police station.
