HASSAN: Youths popping wheelies on two-wheelers and riding recklessly have become a major threat to motorists on National Highway-373 between Hassan and Mysuru.
Youths can be seen riding triples, zigzagging and occupying almost the entire carriageway, posing a danger to other road users. A slight miscalculation can lead to loss of lives, locals say.
In a recent video captured on a mobile phone, a group of youth can be seen popping wheelies and riding recklessly along the highway. The youths continue performing stunts for kilometres, blocking other traffic, and showing utter disregard for traffic rules.
Citizens have demanded that the police crack down on such illegal activities on the roads and put a halt to performing stunts and wheelies by youths to ensure safety of motorists.
