BENGALURU: A youth who was to fly to Lucknow from the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), was arrested after he claimed to be a member of a terrorist organisation and that the flight would not reach Lucknow as a bomb had been planted on it. The arrested has been identified as Adarsh Kumar Singh.

On February 17, Adarsh Kumar (21) arrived at the airport to board a Lucknow flight, went through the security check and had even completed the boarding formalities. However, at the last moment, he refused to fly and wanted to return to the city.

After the airline staff handed him over to the security personnel, Adarsh Kumar claimed to be from a terror group and even threatened that the flight would not reach Lucknow, giving some anxious moments to the other passengers. He was then handed over to the Kempegowda airport police.

Adarsh Kumar Singh hails from Uttar Pradesh and is studying in a prestigious institution in the city. After he was ditched by his girlfriend, he planned to head to his hometown, but suddenly changed his mind and planned to return to the city. He then tried to threaten the police claiming to be from a terror group. The Kempegowda airport police have registered a case and have taken up further investigation.
