CHIKKABALLAPUR: In yet another instance, some children of the government school at Kudupakunte in the district were made to clean the toilet by the headmistress and clean it. This comes close on the heels of an in Kolar a few weeks ago where some students were made to clean the septic tank.
Renukamma, the acting headmistress of the government higher primary school at Kudupakunte, got some girl students to clean the toilet on the premises and a video of it has gone viral on social media.
Sidlaghatta Block Education Officer (BEO) Narendra Kumar, taluk panchayat executive officer Muniraju, Social Welfare Department Deputy Director Jagadish and other officials visited the school and recorded the confidential statements of the girl students.
Parents of the children vented their anger against the acting headmistress and demanded action against her. Following this, Renukamma was placed under suspension.
