As part of the campaign, the women’s commission is creating awareness about social media use, live-in relationships and dating apps. The commission is also raising awareness about women’s empowerment. The campaign also includes experts giving classes on violence against women and has been conducted at many workplaces in the city.

Pramila Naidu, chairperson of the State Women’s Commission.

“Most women in live-in relationships do not focus on shaping their future. During the pandemic, many cases of domestic violence were being registered, but these days, women are speaking up for themselves. Post-pandemic, there are fewer cases now. We are offering counselling in some of the cases. We are raising awareness about dating apps and the use of social media in schools and colleges across the state”, said Pramila Naidu, chairperson of the State Women’s Commission.
