Woman murders parents, younger sister in KR Pura, flees with live-in partner

BENGALURU: A woman and her live-in partner killed her parents and her sister at Sai Green Homes apartment, Dominic Layout, Seegehalli in KR Pura as they objected to her relationship and refused to help her clear her loans. The deceased are Somasundar (55), Muthulakshmi (48), and Supriya (20) and the accused are absconding.

The accused Shwetha was in a live-in relationship with Kenneth which her parents opposed. Because of this, Shwetha and her boyfriend killed her father, mother, and sister by stabbing them with a knife and fled. The bodies of the victims were shifted to East Point Hospital for post-mortem examination on Tuesday.

Shwetha lived with Kenneth at Sai Green Homes apartment in Dominic Layout. On Monday, her parents had gone to her house to advise her and bring her back. At that time, a fight broke out between the parents and their daughter and her boyfriend. During the argument, all three were stabbed.

While Muthulakshmi and Supriya collapsed and died inside the house, Somasundar who was in a pool of blood, got up and came out of the house. following which some locals called the emergency number 112. When the Hoysala staff rushed to the spot, Somasundar was lying in a pool of blood on the stairs. Police immediately shifted the injured to the hospital, but by then, Somasundar died due to excessive bleeding.

On the way, Somasundar gave information about the incident saying, “My wife and younger daughter are inside the house. The elder daughter and her boyfriend stabbed us. She was living with her boyfriend, we had come to advise her that this was not right”, he said.

Shwetha and Kenneth escaped from the adjacent building after the murder. The couple went to the top floor of the apartment where the murder took place. They then jumped to the adjacent apartment and escaped through that gate.

It has come to light that accused Shwetha and Kenneth had taken loans of around Rs 30 lakh. Shwetha had asked her parents to repay the loan amount and when they refused to give the money, she had fought demanding a share in the property. It is suspected that the murder was committed on Monday after another fight over the same issue. Currently, police have formed four special teams and are conducting an intense search for the accused.

Police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh said, “Three people of one family were murdered by their elder daughter and another accused. We have formed six teams to nab the accused. We have preliminary information that the murder may have been committed for personal reasons. After their arrest, we will know what led to the murders”.

Drunk woman, along with son, murders mother

A woman, identified as Bhagyalakshmi, along with son Vikas, murdered her mother Jayamma (75), in Subhash Nagar under Kengeri police station limits on the night of June 21.

The murdered woman’s family is addicted to alcohol and would sell property to fund their addiction. On that day, a fight broke out between the mother and daughter over this same issue. Bhagyalakshmi had picked a fight saying, “You sell property and drink”. During this, the argument escalated into a fight and the son Vikas also entered the fight. In the middle of the fight, Jayamma was assaulted and beaten with a stick which is used to make ragi balls.

The accused had committed the murder and kept it under wraps without telling anyone. After some time, Vikas called his friend and asked him to bring alcohol saying that he was upset as his grandmother had died. When they sat down to drink, Vikas’s friend saw the body afnd immediately called the police. When the police arrived, the murder came to light. Police have arrested the accused mother and son.
