BENGALURU: In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old woman killed her own mother, stuffed the body in a trolley suitcase and surrendered before the Mico Layout police along with the suitcase in the wee hours on Tuesday.
Senali Sen lives with her husband, mother-in-law and her mother at NSR Greens apartment in Billekahalli. Her mother Biva Pal (70) apparently used to have regular quarrels with her mother-in-law. Fed up of this, Senali force-fed her mother 20 sleeping pills in the wee hours on Tuesday. When the mother complained of stomach pain, Senali stranglulated her, stuffed the body in a trolley suitcase along with a picture of her father and went to the Mico Layout police station.
It is said that of the four people in the family, three including Senali, her mother and brother are mentally unstable and were undergoing treatment. After the death of the father two years ago, the three were said to be suffering from depression. The family originally hails from Kolkata and had been living in Bengaluru for the last six years. Senali’s brother had shifted back to Kolkata recently and was continuing his medical treatment there.
Senali told the police that she was upset with her mother’s behaviour. The police have arrested her and further investigation is under way.
