Woman gives Rs 7 lakh supari to kill husband, arrested along with 2 others

TUMAKUR: Three people were arrested for the alleged murder of a man after his wife gave ‘supari’ to kill him, at Seenappanahalli in Kunigal taluk on Monday.

The accused have been identified as Harshitha, Raghu and Ravikiran. Manjunath and Harshitha were married on March 13, 2022. Harshitha had an extramarital affair with her relatives Raghu and Ravikiran, residents of Lingadheeranahalli in Bengaluru.

Harshitha gave supari to kill her husband Manjunath over her extramarital affairs.

On February 3, Manjunath celebrated his birthday with his friends in Kunigal town, returned home and slept. At midnight, he got a call and he immediately went out. On February 4, he was found dead in Kitnamangala lake, which is located about 1 km away from the town. The villagers filed a complaint at Kunigal police station.

Based on the complaint, the police formed a team to investigate the case. During the investigation, the police found out that Harshitha had given Rs 7 lakh as supari to kill her husband. Harshitha and her relatives were arrested.
