BENGALURU: With the sweltering heat, people are hesitant to step outside. Not just that, the wind is hot too. The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert in the state.
In the next five days, for three days, temperatures in several parts of the state will be three degrees above normal, and the Meteorological Department has issued a hot wind warning. A heatwave will occur in north-interior Karnataka and coastal districts.
A heatwave alert was issued for Bidar, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Uttara Kannada districts on Saturday. On Sunday, the intensity of hot winds will increase in coastal districts, and from 11 am to 4 pm, the heat will intensify and give people heat shock. It’s better if those stepping out of their homes carry an umbrella or cap.
