Visitors witness tiger hunt down bison in Bandipur, spot rare Crested Serpent Eagle during safari

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Tourists got to witness a tiger feast on a bison during a safari in Bandipur after hunting it down. The rare sight was captured by the tourists on video which has since gone viral on social media.

Some other tourists spotted a rare Crested Serpent Eagle during a safari and visuals of it have gone viral on social media. Tourists captured the eagle perched on a tree in the forest, waiting for prey, on camera. The Crested Serpent Eagle is a bird of prey and sightings by people are said to be rare.

In another instance, a tiger attacked and killed a cow in broad daylight at Vadaynapura village in Gundlupet taluk, while it was out grazing. The cow belonged to a farmer named Puttashetty.

Despite repeated attacks, the Forest Department has not taken action and villagers express anger against the Forest Department. Anxious villagers say they are scared to go to their fields and have demanded that the tiger be captured.
