CHIKKAMAGALUR: Muslim youths, who had put up a cutout of Tipu Sultan for Eid Milad celebration on Wednesday, have created controversy by putting a seditious/anti-national song in the background of a video featuring the cutout.
Using a song that incites violence, saying “We are the Mujahideen of Pakistan, protectors of this soil’, they have spread a video on social media, which has now created a huge sensation, and Hindu organisations have expressed strong outrage.
Eid Milad will be celebrated all over the state on Wednesday. While Muslims were preparing for the festival, some miscreants have created unrest in society. Muslim youths who put up a 40-foot tall Tipu Sultan cutout in Tipu Nagar, Chikkamagaluru city for Eid, have put an anti-national song in the background of a video featuring the cutout, which has created sensation. They have released the cutout with a song saying “We are Pakistani Mujahideen, protectors of this soil, Pakistani soldiers”, on an Instagram account named Chikkamagaluru Power Tipu Boys.
Pakistan-loving Islamist fanatics glorifying Tipu Sultan and dancing to slogans praising “Pakistani Mujahideen” in Chikkamagaluru is not just provocation, it is an affront to India’s unity and sovereignty.

As soon as it went viral on social media, Chikkamagaluru City Police Station PSI Dhanraj has filed a complaint. City police, who have registered a suo moto case, have intensified investigation and taken seven youths, including two minors and one Roshan, into custody and are interrogating them. They have intensified investigation with questions like why was it posted, who told to do it, who posted it.
Expectedly, the pro-Pakistan act of the miscreants has taken a political turn, and BJP has lashed out at the miscreants who spoil peace in society and at the government. BJP state president Vijayendra has challenged, “If there is law in the state and there is a Home Minister, kick and lock up those who did anti-national work. Show your strength. Hindus should have faith in you. They should not even come out on bail.”

Further, MLC C T Ravi fumed that anti-nationals should be arrested and appropriate action taken. “Those who do anti-national work while being in India should not be tolerated, cut their tail and send them to jail.

Parliament member Kota Srinivasa Poojary said the polce filed cases against those who stopped cow slaughter and those who opposed pro-Pak slogans. “If the government itself supports anti-India stance, there needs to be a discussion on what this means, BJP should stand firm against it”, he said.
Earlier too, some minors were roaming around with Palestine flag tied to their bike. Now again during Eid festival, pro-Pakistan youths have come to the fore. However, city police who have intensified investigation have taken seven people into custody and taken up investigation.
