CHITRADURGA: Two women died after the car they were travelling in rammed into a tanker from behind on National Highway-4 near Madakaripura in Chitradurga taluk on Friday morning. Three others, including, a two-year-old child, identified as Yashas, were badly injured in the accident.
The deceased were identified as Nirmala (55) and Vinutha (40), hailing from Bengaluru. The injured people were admitted to the district hospital for treatment. It is said that they were going to Hosapete from Bengaluru when the accident occurred.
The car was completely crushed due to the impact. The Chitradurga Rural police visited the spot and registered a case.
