BENGALURU: Three people, including two women, have been arrested for kidnapping, stripping and assaulting a woman over not paying interest. The arrested are Reshma Banu, Nazath and Suhail.
The victim woman had filed complaint at Chandra Layout police station alleging that the accused threatened to strip her, make a video it and make it viral. The victim and the accused Reshma had prior acquaintance. She had borrowed Rs 1 lakh from Reshma two years ago. The complainant was introduced to one Nazath through Reshma and had taken Rs 50,000 loan from Nazath also.
The complainant claimed she was paying Rs 5,000 every month in installments to Nazath and paying interest to Reshma. Due to problems, she had not paid interest for last six months and installments for two months. She had blocked Reshma’s number saying she was repeatedly harassing. Also she had vacated house and gone to mother’s house.
At this time, they cleverly called her to Nazath’s house saying there is work for which she would be paid. Then, Reshma and her husband Suhail came to Nazath’s house and assaulted the complainant. The accused attacked the woman with a knife and kidnapped her in an autorickshaw and confined her in a house near Kumbalagodu where she was assaulted. The accused also stripped her, made a video and threatened to make it viral
Meanwhile, the victim’s mother had given a missing person’s complaint to Chandra Layout station. The police rescued the victim and arrested the three accused after taking complaint from victim woman.
