BENGALURU: In a horrific accident in the wee hours on Friday, a two-wheeler rider going on the wrong way along Ballari Road died after he was knocked down by a truck near the Ganganagar Market.

CCTV footage shows the two-wheeler in front of the truck just before the two collided.

The truck dragged the scooter along for some distance resulting in sparks flying which gutted the two-wheeler and the front portion of the truck.

Around 4 am on Friday, Suman Banik, a native of West Bengal, was riding along the wrong side of Ballari Road towards the CBI office when the truck carrying lemons from Andhra Pradesh crashed into him near the Shell petrol bunk on the main road.

The entire incident was caught on CCTV camera installed at the fuel station. The Sadashivnagar traffic police have taken the truck driver into custody and are investigating.
