CHIKKABALLAPUR: In yet another instance of road tax evasion, the Bagepalli road transport authorities have seized two private buses bearing the same registration number. Both the buses had the same Andhra Pradesh registration (AP 03 TA 9937).
Both buses were plying on the same route from Bagepalli to Chintamani when they were detected by the RTO officials who were conducting checks near Goolur Circle. The drivers and cleaners of the two buses escaped after the vehicles were seized.
The police are now trying to locate the owner/s of the buses and a case has been registered at Bagepalli police station.
