CHITRADURGA: Two women were killed in an accident when their car hit the road divider in an attempt to avoid hitting a stray dog at Chikkabennur on Tuesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Mansi (40) and Ujwalbharvi (44), both residents of Maharashtra. Sachin Bharvi sustained injuries and was admitted to the Chitradurga District Hospital. They were returning from Tirupati to Maharashtra. The driver lost control and hit the divider in an attempt to avoid hitting a stray dog crossing the road.
A case has been registered at Bharamasagara police station and the police visited the accident spot.
