RAMANAGARA: Two passengers were killed and several others were injured after a Kerala government bus overturned near Avaragere in Bidadi taluk on Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway after crashing into a signboard on Saturday morning.

The bus was travelling from Kerala towards Bengaluru. Due to the impact of the crash, the driver lost control and the bus overturned on the road. The accident occurred reportedly as the driver was drowsy. The other injured passengers were immediately shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

The Bidadi police visited the spot and conducted an inspection, and cleared the highway for traffic. A case has been registered in this connection.
