Tumakuru-Yeshwantpur MEMU train services to begin on Sept 27

TUMAKURU: Union Minister of State for Railways and Water Power, V Somanna, will flag off the Tumakuru-Yeshwantpur MEMU train service on September 27 at 8 am from Tumakuru railway station, announced MLA G B Jothiganesh in a press meet on Wednesday.

The train will depart Tumakuru at 8:45 am and reach Yeshwantpur at 10:25 am. Return services will start at 5:45 pm from Yeshwantpur and reach Tumakuru at 7:05 pm. This service will be available every day except Sundays.

This highly anticipated project has finally fructified. Somanna has accelerated railway projects in the district since becoming Union Minister, sanctioning works worth over Rs 500 crore.

Other ongoing projects include the construction of rail underbridges and overbridges and the development of Bhimasandra and Shettihalli underbridges.
