TUMAKURU: In a freak mishap, a truck driver died on the spot after a tyre burst near KB Cross in Tiptur taluk on Tuesday.
The driver Venkatesh H S had got down to check a heated tyre when it suddenly burst, throwing him for a distance and killing him instantly. Venkatesh was a resident of Sompura village in Koratagere taluk.
The Kibbanahalli police visited the spot and have registered a case.
