BENGALURU: The Transport Department has raked in a cool Rs 61,63,000 through the auction of fancy vehicle registration numbers with the number KA 01 NB 0001 fetching the highest of Rs 19,25,000.
The auction of fancy was conducted by the transport commissioner at the HSR Layout Regional Transport Office (RTO).
The other registration number which were hotly bid were KA 01 NB 8055 for Rs 5,15,000, KA 01 N B 9999 for Rs 5,05,000, KA 01 NB 6666 for Rs 4,25,000, KA 01 NB 0009 for 3,70,000, KA 01 NB 0999 for 2,00,000 and KA 01 NB 0666 for Rs 1,80,000, according to a press release.
