HASSAN: Train services on the Edakumeri route resumed on Tuesday after debris due to a landslip was completely cleared from the railway tracks.
As a precautionary measure at the site of the hill collapse, a temporary speed restriction of 10 kmph has been imposed. The regular timetable will be implemented in phases, railway officials said.
A part of a hill had collapsed on the railway track due to heavy rain on Saturday night near Edakumari-Shiruvagilu in Sakleshpur taluk. The soil clearing operation was carried out for three consecutive days.
