Tourist entry to Datta Peetha, Mullayyanagiri barred for three days from November 4

CHIKKAMAGALUR: Entry of tourists to the Bababudangiri Datta Peetha and Mullayyanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka, will be barred for three days from November 4 in view of the Datta Mala Abhiyan, according to the district administration.

Tourist entry to the Datta Peetha, Seetalayyanagiri, Mullayyanagiri, Honnammanahalla, Manikyadhara Falls and Galikere will be barred from 6 am on November 4 till 10 am on November 6.

The Datta Mala Abhiyan will be held from October 30 to November 5 near Mullayyanagiri and the district administration has banned tourist entry as a precautionary measure. The deputy commissoner and the police superintendent inspected the locations.
