BENGALURU: It’s not uncommon now to come across schools which have registered 100% pass results. But what if we told you there’s a school right here in Bengaluru which has registered 100% fail results in the SSLC exam?

The BBMP school for boys and girls at Murphy Town has 19 students who appeared for the 2021-2022 SSLC exam. This includes nine girl students. And shockingly, all of them have failed. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has now sougth a report from the school authorities.

The school teachers also met and discussed the issue. All the students have failed in almost all the subjects. When the teachers summoned the students and inquired, they were shocked to find out that most of the students bunk classes for days on end and go to beat drums wherever there is a death just to make some money.

Some of the students said they did not understand the lessons. After a dressing down from the teachers, they admitted that they were indeed at fault.

School headmaster Abdul defended the teachers saying that all, including contract teachers, are imparting good education. Earlier, there were just eight students and the school authorities tried to increase enrolment. “The children come from families of labourers. Even they are not bothered if the children skip school and supplement the family income”, he noted.
