Thieves use gas cutter to break open ATM, steal Rs 3.6 lakh in Vijayapura village

VIJAYAPURA: Thieves used a gas cutter to break open an ATM and made away with Rs 3.6 lakh in cash at Shivanagi village in the taluk on Monday night. The thieves also used sprayed paint on the CCTV cameras to avoid detection.

The India 1 ATM is right behind a tea shop.

The theft occurred at an India 1 ATM and senior police officials including Vijayapura Rural police inspector Rayagonda Janara visited the spot. The police have registerd a case and launched a hunt for the thieves.
