BENGALURU: A thief, who had been shot in the leg earlier, was caught for a second time by the same police inspector who had fired at him.
Syed Mohammad Faizal, the thief, was stealing branded clothing and shoes from shops. Syed was caught by then Jayanagar police inspector Sudarshan when he went to steal in Jayanagar in 2021.
The police inspector had shot the accused in the leg while he was trying to escape. The same inspector is now posted as a police inspector at Indira Nagar police station and was caught by the officer again in a theft case.
More than 35 cases have been registered against Syed since his arrest. Clothes and shoes worth Rs 1.5 lakh were seized from the thief.
