MANGALURU: A thief, who stole cash from a parked bus, was caught on CCTV camera fixed inside the bus. The video has now gone viral.
The bus, which plies between Uppinangady and Mangaluru in Dakshina Kannada district, was parked at the State Bank bus station and the driver and conductor had gone for lunch.
Footage from the CCTV camera installed inside the bus shows a man getting on and checking the luggage compartment. He then moves to a seat in front and can be seen rummaging through a bag even as he keeps an eye outside.
The thief took away Rs 4,500 from the conductor’s bag, but no police complaint had been lodged.
