BENGALURU: A woman committed suicide at Richard Garden in Ramamurthy Nagar on November 10, allegedly over her husband’s extramarital affair. The deceased has been identified as Shwetha (27).
Shwetha and Abhishek, both techies, got married eleven months ago. Shwetha was working at IBM, while Abhishek is working at TCS. Abhishek was having an extramarital affair with a colleague who is a resident of Delhi. Abhishek had married Shwetha after his parents pressured him to marry her.
Abhishek lied to Shwetha and went to Delhi to be with his girlfriend. Somehow, Shwetha found out about the affair and confronted Abhishek about it on Whatsapp. But he did not respond to her, and upset over this, she hanged herself at her house and died.
After her death, he confessed to family members about his extra-marital affair. A case has been registered at the Ramamurthy Nagar police station and Abhishek has been arrested.
