CHITRADURGA: A tanker truck, which was to transport spirit from Chitradurga to Belagavi, caught fire due to a short circuit and was completely gutted near Sarojabai Kalyana Mantapa on Service Road in Chitradurga. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The driver and cleaner managed to escape the blaze. However, the tanker was completely burned.
On receiving information, fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Layout police station.
