Tamil Nadu CM Vijay to visit Kollur Mookambika temple on June 12

UDUPI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay will visit the Mookambika temple at Kollur in in Byndoor taluk on June 12. This will be his first visit to the temple.

CM Vijay will arrive in Mangaluru by a special flight and head to Kollur by road where he will have darshan of the goddess at 3 pm. After darshan, he will leave for Chennai in the evening from the Mangaluru Airport.

Previously, former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa had visited Kollur on July 30, 2004 and took part in a Chandika Yaga.The Chandika Yaga was conducted on the advice of astrologers.Jayalalithaa had donated ₹30,000 for the Annasantarpane.

Former CM M G Ramachandran, popularly known as MGR, had offered a golden sword to Kollur as a gift.
