Enter the OTP and site will show you the information about SIM card issued against the Aadhaar number.

Customers can go to the portal and report the numbers that they need or no longer utilise.

The numbers will subsequently be blocked or deactivated by the telecom service providers.

The TAFCOP portal was launched by the DOT to prevent Aadhar card misuse.

Individual records are often misused everywhere without their knowledge as technology advances. Aadhaar cards are required for almost everything including bank transactions, buying cellphone, SIMs, property deals and even to apply for loans. However, in some parts of the country, individual Aadhaar numbers are being misused for crimes.

According to police officials, “Many times, SIMs used for criminal activities are obtained using the Aadhaar number of an innocent individual. We learn about the fake number during our investigation. Not just SIM purchases, but most of the scams are committed using the Aadhaar number of unknown individuals”.
