BELAGAVI: Students from two villages clashed with each other over allegations of harassment of a female student on a bus. The youngsters attacked each other with belts, stones, and sticks place near Jakkabala village in Savadatti taluk on Thursday.
The clash started while the bus was moving between students from Jakkabala and Basaragi villages. Locals were shocked seeing the brawl between the youths. Villagers expressed anger against the police for not coming to the spot even after being informed. They demanded an end to such harassment on buses.
Even after locals informed the police, villagers expressed anger against the police for not visiting the spot. Officials from the North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation also did not visit the spot. The incident occurred within Savadatti police limits.
