BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch police has warned history-sheeters to stay out of the city and not to take part in any political events.

After the controversy surrounding history-sheeter ‘Silent’ Sunil taking part in a blood donation camp along with some political leaders, the CCB police have warned history-sheeters not be seen or share the stage in any political programme. If they do not heed the warning, legal action will be taken against them.

After ‘Silent’ Sunil showed up at a blood donation programme last Sunday and shared the stage with BJP leaders, there was a furore in political circles with the Opposition targeting the ruling BJP  and the city police for not taking any action against the history-sheeter.

During a recent raid on history-sheeters in the city by the CCB police, Sunil was not at home and was traced to Tamil Nadu. After he exited the blood donation camp in the vehicle of a BJP MLA, questions were being raised as to why the police, who were present at the even, had not arrested Sunil.

The CCB police then launched a hunt for him and even formed three teams. However, Sunil’s lawyer Pramod Chandra met the CCB officials and informed them he cannot be detained without prior notice.

Following the developments, the CCB has now warned all history-sheeters to stay out of the city and directed them not to participate in any political events.
