State Meteorological Department predicts moderate rainfall for next 5 days

BENGALURU: The State Meteorological Department has predicted moderate rainfall in the state for the next five days amidst the increasing heat.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall due to the heating of the sea surface induced by a tropical cyclone in the state for the next five days starting Tuesday.

Accordign to the met department, moderate rainfall will occur in some parts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts from March 14 to 18 and moderate rain is likely in many parts of Uttara Kannada district from March 16 to 18. Some parts of Bagalkot, Ballari, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura and Koppal districts of the northern interior will receive rainfall from March 16 to March 18.

There is a possibility of moderate rain in southern-interior, including Bengaluru City, Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagalur, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysuru, Shivamogga and Tumkur districts, on March 17 and 18, the weatherman said.
