At another event, he said Molkalmuru voters has ensured his victory with a huge margin because they saw an ST leader in him who had the capacity to become chief minister.

At one of the events, where non-vegetarian food was served, a huge vessel of curry toppled from the stove and people could be seen picking up pieces of meat from the ground.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Dr Yogish Babu, who lost to Sriramulu last time, said Sriramulu is organising the feasts because he fears defeat in the next election.

“He has not done any work in Molkalmuru and is hoodwinking people. There is deceit, corruption and injustice and rural roads are in terrible shape. The Nayakanahatti Town Panchayat election outcome is an indicator of things to come and people will teach him a lesson”, Dr Babu said.
