Special prayers at temples, homes across Karnataka for success of Chandrayaan-3

BENGALURU: Special prayers were held in various parts of the city, including famous temples, for the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission today. Several people also conducted pujas in their homes. The Vikram lander is scheduled to make a soft landing on the lunar south pole later in the evening today.

At Chamarajpet, special puja was organised by the Kannada Tindi Kendra wherein BJP MLAs Dr C N Ashwath Narayan and others participated. Slogans were also raised in favour of Isro scientists for the success of the mission.

At the Gavi Gangadhareshwara temple, Navagraha puja and Chandra homa were conducted for the success of Chandrayaan-3 without any setbacks. Special prayers were also held at the Dodda Ganesha temple win Basavanagudi.

At Vidyaranyapura in the city, the Vijaya Bank Layout Association members organised pujas and hoisted the Tricolour at their houses. At Kempapura in Chikkabanavara, some residents conducted pujas with a portrait of the Vikram lander.

In Ramanagara, Congress legislator Iqbal Hussain offered prayers at the Hazrat Peeran Shah Wali dargah along with others. Schoolchildren, holding the Tricolour, also wished success to the mission at Ijur government school.

In other parts of the state, BJP workers organised puja at the Hole Anjaneya temple in Bagalkot and raised slogans for the success of the Moon mission. In Ballari, students of the Vasavi School at Sudha Cross offered prayers and chanted slogans. At the Hukkeri Hiremath, 108 bachelors conducted Rudra homa and Gana homa and Gau puja under the guidance of Chandrashekara Shivacharya Swami.

Citizens and school students offered prayers at the Ganesha temple at KCD Circle in Dharwad. Special prayers were also conducted at the Veereshwara Punyashrama in Gadag. Students of the Sri Tontadarya Vidyapeetha also offered prayers with a model of the rocket.

Special prayers were also organised at the the Sannati Chandralamba temple in Kalaburagi and at the Venkateshwara temple at New Raghavendra Colony.

In Haveri, BJP workers organised special puja at the Sri Rama temple and at the Anjaneya temple and distributed sweets. Students of KLE Polytechnic and JP Rotary School distributed pamphlets and raised slogans for the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission.

In Gangavathi, students of St Paul’s school wished for the success of the mission by holding pictures of different stages of Chandrayaan-3. Social activist Umesh Mudnal organised special prayers a the Veeranjaneya temple in Yadgir. Special prayers were also offered at the Dukan Wadia Syed Yakub Bhukari Dargah.

Chanting of Durga Saptashati and Chandika homa were conducted at the Chowdeshwari temple at Sigandhur in Shivamogga district. In the city, students of the Priyadarshini School at Shivappa Nayak Layout wished success to the mission holding the Tricolour.

The BJP city and rural units organised Maha Ganapathi puja at the Shankar Mutt in Hassan. The Jogi Mutt Geleyara Balaga in Chitradurga organised special puja at the Neelakantheshwara temple wherein school students also took part. In Davanagere, special prayers were held at the Shamanur Anjaneya temple while students of Sridevi Thimmareddy Public School also offered prayers.

Activists of the BJP Yuva Morcha orgainsed special puja at the Ganapathi temple in Kushalnagar while BJP workers offered prayers at the historical Omkareshwara temple in Madikeri.
