Spandana’s ashes immersed in Cauvery near Srirangapatna after rituals

MANDYA: The ashes of Spandana, the wife of actor Vijay Raghavendra were immersed in the Cauvery river near Srirangapatna after performing all related rituals.

Vijay Raghavendra arrived in Srirangapatna carrying the urn containing the ashes of his wife Spandana. He was accompanied by their son Shaurya, brother Srimurali, relatives B K Hariprasad, Chenne Gowda and others.

The ashes were immersed in the Cauvery by Shaurya, along with Vijay Raghavendra after performing some rituals.

Spandana, who was in Bangkok, died after suffering a heart attack. The body was brought back to Bengaluru in the wee hours on Wednesday.

The last rites of Spanadana were held at the Harishchandra Ghat on Mahakavi Kumvempu Road in Rajajinagar as per the customs on Wednesday in the presence of family members, friends and relatives.
