BENGALURU, MANGALURU: Investigation into the case of mass burial of bodies in Dharmasthala has picked up pace again with fresh revelation that the skull which was found in Banglegudde, which was claimed to be that of a woman, turning out to be that of a 32-year-old man. After a fresh spot inspection on Thursday, the SIT is preparing to submit an additional chargesheet in the case.
The gang of conspirators had fabricated a story claiming that the skull found at Banglegudde was that of a woman who had been raped. But now, that skull was found to be of a 32-year-old young man. Investigation has also revealed that it was Vithala Gowda who had given the skull to the masked man Chinnaiah.
On Thursday, a 3-member forensic team from Bengaluru visited Banglegudde forest along with SIT officers and inspected the spot at Bangle Gudde where the skull was found. Pradeep Kulal, who was involved in the skull conspiracy case, had accompanied the FSL and SIT officers.
Pradeep has recorded a confessional statement under Section 183 of BNSS regarding the case. He was seen in the video of the skull being exhumed in the forest at night when it was ‘exhumed’ in Banglegudde forest.
