Siddaramaiah takes time off to watch IPL match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium amid election heat

BENGALURU: After the Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the Karnataka Assembly election, all party leaders and workers are busy with campaigning. Despite the pressure, former chief minister Siddaramaiah took time out to watch the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, accompanied by his close associates.

On Sunday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) took on Mumbai Indians and the stadium was packed with millions of cricket lovers.

In the match, RCB (172/1) beat Mumbai Indians (171/7) by eight wickets. Rohit Sharma’s team had put up an impressive target.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians’ top batsman struggled against RCB’s bowling attack, but Tilak Verma played some attacking shots. As a result, Mumbai Indians had set a challenging target of 172 runs for RCB to win the match.
