Seven thieves who were stealing from bungalow locked up in room, arrested

BENGALURU: Seven thieves were arrested after they broke into a bungalow in Shantinivasa Layout in Avalahalli on Thursday.

Among the accused are Rajat, Ram Vilas and Sheikh Abdullah. The thieves entered the bungalow and and were going about stealing valuables, but the house owner’s son was alerted when he saw the refrigerator door open. Alerted by this, he checked the CCTV on his phone and realised that thieves had entered their bungalow. He recorded the thieves’ movement on his mobile phone with the help of the CCTV camera app.

The Talaghattapura police arrested seven robbers on Thursday.

In the meantime, the bungalow owner’s son also locked the room where the thieves were, then locked himself in another room and called the Talaghattapura police. The police immediately reached the spot and arrested five thieves from the bungalow, but two of them managed to flee. Later, they were arrested from Coimbatore. Further investigation is under way.
